Might have to get GSC 2013 and give that a try. Others: I have not tried Dirt, but supposedly it works? I did just try the rFactor 1 plugin with Game Stock Car 2012 demo, and it works perfectly with Tridef. Night driving in rF2 is mindblowing as well. Laguna seca and modern Spa are great examples, and as you discovered monaco is totally nuts. I prefer tracks that give good FPS (smoother head tracking) and that have some height differences, as that makes the poor resolution less obvious (less staring at a couple of pixels in the distance). Pretty much all the cars work great, historics, modern formulas, closed cockpits. It's a bit tricky to configure, and you can get a drastically better experience just by fine tuning everything. I've spent most of my time with this, for some reason it looks better than iRacing in the rift. RFactor 2: Some wizard over at the ISI forums has made a plugin and together with Tridef it works perfectly. The drawbacks have been no AI (not confident enough with the rift to do a real race) and that I don't own that much content. Menus and HUD are also decent with the rift. I've spent quite a bit of time with it and driving works really well. IRacing: Built in support, works great! Detects the rift automatically, almost no configuration necessary. No eta, but they will fix it at some point I presume. It does not store any personal data.Awesome video! All my racing the last month has been in the rift, I'll share my experiences:Īsetto Corsa: Built in support, but broken at the moment. The company was founded by Palmer Luckey and the co-founders of Scaleform, and id Software cofounder John Carmack was later hired as its Chief Technology Officer. It is being developed by Oculus VR, who have raised $16 million, of which $2.4 million was raised with crowd funding via Kickstarter. It is a virtual reality head-mounted display. The Oculus Rift is a next-generation virtual reality headset designed for immersive gaming. Gamer muscle also states that unfortunately the low resolution of the developer kit makes it quite tricky to see corners coming up and hit brake points but its still good fun to try and race and the ability to look around and feel as if you are inside of a real car is really awesome. Gamer muscle hopes that with the consumer version of the rift it will be normal to have the same sort of control over the image. You can set your own FOV for the game and the Rift with Tridef as well as have very fine control over many aspects of the 3D and the image output. He did some laps with RF2 on an RF2 public server, using the oculus rift and tridef 3d.
